A mixture of recycled brass and FairTrade FairMined Silver.
In December 2012, CRED brought the first Fairtrade and Fairmined certified silver to the UK. The world's first Fairtrade and Fairmined silver jewellery collections launch in February 2013.
The Fairtrade and Fairmined certified silver is from Sotrami, an artisanal mine located in the Andes, 2,450m above sea level, and 60 miles from the nearest town. As it is the mines that are certified Fairtrade Fairmined, the silver found in smaller quantities alongside the deposits of gold receives the same mark.
Fairtrade and Fairmined is an independent ethical certification guarantee of a product which has been responsibly mined and that miners are working in good conditions. The 10% premium paid for the gold ensures a good price to the workers with additional funds to invest in their community.
Due to the hand created nature of this item all pieces will differ slightly therefore making them utterly unique.

Some pieces are cast for us by our casters in Hockley Birmingham. They are a small family run concern and create for us without exception, the most beautiful replications of our work. We feel privileged that they have taken us aboard and feel in good company as their client list is endless. They produce work for artists such as Vivian Westward and The Queen. The castings are then hand finished and beaten to form our unique textured surface.
